Community Day Outreach

Community Day Outreach

In March we held the first of our reimagined “Community Days” outreach days. The aim of these days is to reach into our community in practical ways and share the love of Christ with those around us. With an encouraging turnout we were able to impact three local families with practical hands on help both inside and outside their properties. These families for one reason or another were unable to get on top of things at home and it was a privilege to step into the gap and make a real lasting impact in these lives.

What was done?

A group of our capable ladies decluttered and organized a home that due to children with increased needs was getting too much to handle. Our team got the home back to a manageable state, allowing the family to focus on what really matters.

We also visited a young man who due to an intellectual disability was not able to keep up with the gardens he had inherited, we got his home back to a tidy state he could be proud of.

Our team of volunteers also tackled the home of a elderly woman who’ s garden and home was needing some muscle to get it under control. While our team we’re at work the woman was treated to a haircut and for coffee with one of our ladies.

Not only was the response from our recipients amazing but the response from our volunteer team was even more so. We received many emotional testimonies of how blessed the team had been and how grateful they were to be apart of it. Here’s to many more Community Days to come!
